Hart of the Wolf Moon- a 14″ by 2″ Stag Drum

£199.00

14″ Stag Drum • Wolf Moon • Birthed Under the Preseli Mountains

Lightweight • Ceremonial • Portal Drum

This 14″ x 2″ Stag Drum was birthed in ceremony over the 12 Sacred Nights of Midwinter — a liminal passage when the veils are thin and inner truth rises gently to the surface.

The stag hide was bathed beneath the ancient Preseli Mountains — the birthplace of the bluestones of Stonehenge — and soaked in the supermoon light of the Wolf Moon. Infused with Rose and Blue Lotus, the hide carries frequencies of heart-remembrance, intuition, and soul-clarity.

A defining gift of this drum is its lighter weight. Crafted with a 2″ Birch wood hoop, slightly slimmer than many ceremonial drums, it offers ease and comfort without compromising resonance or depth. This makes it an ideal companion for those with wrist issues, joint sensitivity, fatigue, or anyone who finds heavier drums challenging to hold, especially during longer ceremonies or journeys. Light in the hands, yet powerful in voice, this drum invites sustained, embodied connection.

Description

Wolf Moon Medicine-
The Wolf Moon carries ancient associations with instinct, comfort in one’s wild nature, and inner truth revealed through illumination. As January itself is a threshold month, this Full Moon acts as a Gatekeeper for the year ahead — not demanding immediate action, but offering clarity. It reveals what is already in motion, both in light and shadow, inviting honesty, presence, and emotional truth.
This drum holds that medicine: a steady ally for listening deeply, trusting instinct, and walking forward with awareness rather than haste.

Stag Medicine- To call upon the Stag is to invoke divine masculine power in its most integrated form — dignity, sovereignty, and integrity. Stag medicine fertilises new ideas and new ventures, supporting visibility, confidence, and rightful presence. With the Stag as your drum, it is a time to stand tall and be seen, to magnetise what you desire, and to remember that thought and intention shape reality.
The Stag is deeply Earth-tied, bringing harmony, patience, and natural progression. He teaches the wisdom of waiting — not passivity, but grounded trust in timing. Solitary for much of the year, yet generous when he shares his power, the Stag offers his ways to those prepared to receive them. Across the Celtic lands he has long been a figure of myth and reverence; with age comes wisdom, and with responsibility comes strength of will.
Birch — White Lady of the Woods- The hoop of this drum is crafted from Birch, known as the White Lady of the Woods. Slender yet resilient, Birch carries the essence of renewal, purification, and new beginnings. One of the first trees to awaken in spring, she teaches us how to release the old so that new life may flourish.
In Celtic tradition, Birch was honoured as a tree of rebirth and protection, used in rites of passage and sacred thresholds. In Native American stories, Birch offered shelter, bark for sacred messages, and wood for fire — a true ally of the people.
Birch embodies strength in grace, beauty in resilience, and clarity in simplicity. As the hoop of this drum, she holds a circle of protection, purification, and fresh beginnings — a steady frame for your journeys.

A Living, Portal Drum

Every drum I create is guided by intuition, oracle, and spirit. I invite in the natural elements, the ancestors of the land, and the celestial currents so each drum becomes a living bridge — a union of tree, animal, human, and cosmos.

The beat of this drum carries the blended spirit of Stag, Birch, Green Quartz, Rose, Blue Lotus, Hazel, Rabbit, and Wolf Moon light, ready to merge with your energy and create a unique alchemy of sound and spirit.

This is a portal drum — a companion for healing, transformation, and deep communion with the heartbeat of Mother Earth.
Light in weight, rich in medicine, and steady in presence, it is ready to walk with you wherever your path leads.

I call upon the Spirit of the Stag,
Antlered Guardian of the threshold,
Walker between worlds,
Keeper of dignity, strength, and truth.
I call upon the White Lady of the Woods,
Birch of renewal and protection,
Who holds the circle of becoming.
I call upon Grandmother Moon,
Gatekeeper of the year,
Illuminator of what already lives within,
Revealer of instinct, shadow, and soul-light.
I call upon the Preseli Mountains,
Ancient bones of the Earth,
Stone memory and ancestral song,
To steady this drum in the deep remembering.
May this drum be a living bridge —
Between heaven and earth,
Bone and breath.
With every beat, may truth rise gently.
With every rhythm, may patience be restored.
May new paths be fertilised,
New beginnings blessed,
And the heart remain open and sovereign.

Stag stand tall within this circle.
Birch hold us in grace.
Wolf Moon light the way.
I welcome this drum as ally, teacher, and portal.
May it speak clearly.
May it serve love.
May it walk with integrity.
And so it is.

When you first play this drum, you awaken its true voice. I never sound the drums before they leave me — this initiation belongs only to you.

I began this path over 20 years ago, after reading When the Women Were Drummers by Layne Redmond. My calling has always been to make drums that connect us back to the heartbeat of the Earth Mother, honouring the animals, trees, and elements in the most ethical way possible.

This drum carries not just sound — but medicine, memory, and magic. It is waiting for the one who feels its call.
