Rosa Intima Fidelis- The Magdalene Rose Drum
Open Heart – Rose Within – Drum of Devotion
This is a prayerful drum, created as an open-hearted vessel of Magdalene devotion — one that sings from presence, honesty, and the courage to love without armour.
Crafted as a 16” hoop-style frame drum with an “open hearted” back, this drum allows sound to move freely, carrying prayer outward.
The hoop is made from oak, the ancient tree of endurance, sovereignty, and deep-rooted wisdom. Oak holds the strength of vows kept across lifetimes and offers steady support to those walking a path of remembrance and service.
The deer hide has been naturally dyed red, and in the alchemy of rose, water, and time, the dye has revealed its own living language….within the hide, a distinct rose-like pattern has emerged (see photo), appearing as if the Rose herself has marked the drum from within. This is a revelation — a sign of the living intelligence of the materials and the presence of the Magdalene current woven through the making.
NOTE- All drums come with drum care info and drum connection journeys, this drum purchase also includes my Mary Magdalene Course- Rooted in Her AND a special prayer/hymn written for this drum.

Description
This drum is laced with 40 lacings, a sacred number of devotion, initiation, and pilgrimage. Forty marks the threshold between what was and what will be — the desert, the vigil, the long listening that prepares the soul for truth. This drum carries the medicine of staying, of remaining faithful to love through uncertainty and change.
Twisted hide handle is wrapped simply with a red ribbon — a symbol of lifeblood, devotion, and the thread that binds prayer to flesh.
Included is a medicine bundle containing a red rose from my altar and mini rosary beads handmade by me, forming a small reliquary of prayer, contemplation, and embodied devotion.
The beater is crafted from locally coppiced hazel, a tree of wisdom, vision, and poetic knowing. Its head is wrapped in soft red fabric, filled with alpaca wool, and tied with a red ribbon.
This drum is a companion of quiet strength.
A keeper of the Rose within.
A drum for those who walk with devotion rather than display.
It is especially suited for prayer, song, womb and heart work, vigil, grief tending, anointing rites, and moments when sound becomes a form of listening. This is a drum for those who honour Mary Magdalene as embodied wisdom — the one who stayed, who loved, who remembered.
This is a drum of presence. A rose opened from the inside.
The drum name- Rosa Intima Fidelis – means The Inner Rose Who Remains
Rosa — the Magdalene Rose, devotion, love sanctified through presence
Intima — the inner chamber, the secret heart, that which is known only through closeness
Fidelis — faithful, loyal, unwavering; the one who stays
Together, the name speaks of the Rose that blooms inwardly and does not abandon love, even in the long vigil. It is the Rose of the cave, the garden at dawn, the place where grief and devotion become one. This drum holds the frequency of faithfulness — prayer that continues when no one is watching, love that endures beyond recognition.
If there is a name spoken only in breath, beneath even this one, it is- “She Who Stayed.”
Each of my drums is personally signed by me in golden ink. Gold is the metal of the sun, of incorruptible truth and eternal light, and my signature is offered as a final blessing — a witness that this drum was birthed with intention, prayer, and care. In this way, the signing becomes a quiet rite of completion, affirming the drum’s passage from my hands into its own life of service, song, and remembrance.
When I birth drums, I call in the natural elements of the land, the stars, and the moon. Guided by intuition, oracle cards, and the whispers of my spirit guides, each drum becomes a bridge between Earth and Sky, carrying the blessings of Father Sun, Grandmother Moon, and our wild Mother Earth.
Mary Magdalene moves through this drum as the rhythm of the heart—awakening deep dreams, clearing stagnant energies, and sending the heartbeat of the Earth outward into the cosmos, resonant with Gaia herself. The beat becomes a prayer, an offering, and a rhythm that makes space for your deepest wishes to take root.
Every element woven into this drum has been chosen with care and devotion. The hides I use are ethically sourced within the UK, and by working with them, we honour their life force rather than allow it to be discarded.
I have been birthing drums for over 20 years, inspired by the ancient memory of women drummers and Layne Redmond’s When the Women Were Drummers. Each drum is a return to the primordial heartbeat—the rhythm of creation, the pulse of our Mother Earth.
Shipping Policy
Each drum I birth is a sacred creation — a one-of-a-kind being infused with prayer, intention, and ceremony. Because of the deep care that goes into their making, I also take great care in their journey to you.
To ensure that every drum travels safely and arrives in good time, I now send a maximum of two drums per shipment. This allows me to track and tend to each parcel with the attention it deserves and to minimise any risk of loss or damage in transit.
If your order includes more than two drums, they will be lovingly packaged and sent in separate parcels, a few days apart. Additional postage costs will apply for each separate shipment, and I’ll always confirm these details with you before dispatch.
This approach helps each drum’s energy — and the practical delivery process — flow more smoothly, ensuring that your sacred instruments reach you with the care they deserve.
Thank you for your understanding and support in helping me honour the spirit of this work and ensure each drum’s safe passage to its new guardian.

To honour the integrity of this work, the following policy applies to all drum sales:
Returns & Refunds
-
I am happy to accept returns within 7 days of receipt if you are not satisfied with your drum.

The drum must be returned in its original condition, carefully packaged to prevent damage in transit.
-
Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
-
Once the drum is received and inspected, a refund will be issued minus original shipping costs.
After 7 Days
Due to the nature of these handcrafted instruments, I do not offer refunds or exchanges after 7 days, unless the drum is found to be structurally faulty upon arrival.
Repairs
Natural hide drums are sensitive to moisture, temperature, and handling. For this reason, I cannot offer guarantees beyond the initial period, as I have no way of knowing how the drum has been stored or used.
If your drum becomes damaged or loses tone after some time, I do offer a paid repair service on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me with photos and details, and I’ll be happy to assess and advise.
Honouring the Drum’s Journey
Each drum carries a spirit and story. I trust that the right drum finds the right person at the right time. I ask that you choose your drum with intention, and receive it as a sacred ally.
