£199.00

This 13″ x 2″Deer Drum was birthed in deep sacredness and ceremony, with rose tea to open the heart, under the ancient Preseli Mountains — the birthplace of the bluestones of Stonehenge, between the Feb and March 2026 eclipses- a liminal powerful dreaming space.

  • 13” Deer Drum — extra light weight, carrying Deer’s gentle wisdom and peace.

  • Birch wood hoop — laced in “open-hearted” hoop style with hide, embodying stability, protection, and the bridge between heaven and earth.

  • Hazel handle
  • Handmade beater — coppiced hazel wood, chamois head filled with local alpaca wool, adorned with recycled Bobcat fur for  trusting intuition

  • Medicine pouch — holding the drum’s “umbilical knot” , rose quartz from my altar, and rose petals and rose buds for heart.

Every drum I create is guided by intuition, oracle, and spirit. I invite in the natural elements, the ancestors of the land, and the celestial currents so each drum becomes a living bridge — a union of tree, animal, human, and cosmos.

Description

Between Eclipses Drum

I am the song between Earth and Sky,

the pulse that bridges your heart

with the heartbeat of the Mother.

I was born between eclipses,

in the turning of the seasons,

when the old falls away and the new is called forth.

I carry the gentleness of Deer,

the grace to walk with peace,

and the courage to guide you through shadows with love

Rachael Crow

This drum was made as a healing portal — born between the Feb and March Eclipses. This in-between period is symbolically a threshold that mirrors an alchemical sequence
Fire, ego structures burning away.
Separation, what is pure is sorted from what is not, rebuilding from essence.
This passage is about metabolising what was burned away and tending space.

In Celtic lore, the deer is Messenger between worlds, Guide through the forest of the unknown, Shape-shifter of the Otherworld, Keeper of gentleness + sovereignty
The hind/deer mother carries lunar, fae, and priestess codes.
Because this drum was birthed in eclipse fire = Virgo earth purification, she carries both wild flame and sacred soil.

So I named her- Róisín na Tairseach- “Little Rose of the Threshold.”

In Ireland, Róisín (pronounced Ro-sheen) means “little rose.”
The “-ín” ending is tender, intimate, beloved.
The rose in Celtic mysticism is….
The heart unfolding through devotion, Beauty born through thorns, Bloodline memory, Sacred feminine sovereignty,
The meeting point of love and sacrifice, A little rose is not weak. She is the first bloom through ash. She is the quiet pulse of beauty after burning.
– na Tairseach
Tairseach means threshold — doorway, crossing place.
In Celtic lands, thresholds were sacred. Doorways were blessed. Offerings were left at them.

Róisín na Tairseach carries
Heart medicine
Portal-keeper energy
Eclipse liminality
Forest priestess codes
Deer gentleness with quiet strength

She is the drum you play….
When someone is in transition
When grief becomes rebirth
When identity sheds
When vows are made
When someone stands on the edge of change
She holds the crossing.

Every drum I create is guided by intuition, oracle, and spirit. I invite in the natural elements, the ancestors of the land, and the celestial currents so each drum becomes a living bridge — a union of tree, animal, human, and cosmos.

“I am the song between Earth and Sky, the pulse that bridges your heart with the heartbeat of the Mother.
I was born between eclipses, in the turning of the seasons, when the old falls away and the new is called forth. I carry the gentleness of Deer, the grace to walk with peace, and the courage to guide you through shadows with love.

My hoop is Birch, the White Lady of the Woods — I hold the energy of renewal, of beginnings blessed by light. I will walk with you as you shed what no longer serves and step into the freedom of your true self.

I carry rose quartz to amplify your prayers, rose buds and golden petals for abundance, blooming, opening your heart, and the umbilical knot — a reminder that we are always connected to the source of Life.

When you place your hands upon me, your pulse and mine will become one. Together, we will weave medicine songs, awaken dreams, and open portals to the realms of healing and remembrance.

I am waiting to be awakened by your first beat, to walk with you as companion, ally, and mirror of your soul’s rhythm.
Come, beloved — let us begin.”

The beat of this drum carries the spirit of deer and birch, blending with your energy to create an alchemy of sound and spirit. It is a portal drum, ready to accompany you into journeys of healing, transformation, and connection to the heartbeat of Mother Earth.

Deer’s medicine includes gentleness, the ability to listen, grace and appreciation for the beauty of balance, power of gratitude and giving, ability to sacrifice for the higher good, connection to the woodland goddess, alternative paths to a goal. Deer teaches us how powerful it is to have a gentle demeanour, to exert keen observation and sensitivity. Deer’s are in tune with nature and all it comprises. They are sacred carriers of peace and show us how to open our hearts and love unconditionally .

Deer teaches us to touch the hearts and minds of wounded beings who are in our lives, to gently nudge them in right direction, with the love that comes from deer.

The hoop of this drum is made of Birch, known as the White Lady of the Woods. Slender yet resilient, Birch carries the essence of renewal, new beginnings, and purification. Among the first trees to awaken in spring, it teaches us the power of starting afresh, of letting go of the old so that new life may flourish.

In Celtic tradition, Birch was honoured as a tree of rebirth and protection, often used in rites of passage and sacred ceremonies. It was seen as a threshold tree, guiding us safely through transitions and into new cycles of life. In Native American stories, Birch offered shelter, bark for writing sacred messages, and wood for fire — a true ally of the people.

Birch embodies strength in grace, beauty in resilience, and clarity in simplicity. Its medicine reminds us that even in times of darkness, the light of renewal is always near. As the hoop of this drum, Birch holds the frame of your journey — a circle of protection, purification, and new beginnings.

Bobcat medicine (recycled fur on beater) invites you to trust intuition over intellect, see beyond the obvious, and navigate challenges with discretion and grace.

When you first play this drum, you awaken its true voice. I never sound the drums before they leave me — this initiation belongs only to you.

I began this path over 20 years ago, after reading When the Women Were Drummers by Layne Redmond. My calling has always been to make drums that connect us back to the heartbeat of the Earth Mother, honouring the animals, trees, and elements in the most ethical way possible.

This drum carries not just sound — but medicine, memory, and magic. It is waiting for the one who feels its call.
