As these drums were born, Brigid stood beside me, her Sword of Sovereignty present — cutting through illusion, blessing new beginnings, and guarding the flame of truth. My ancestors gathered also, and the drums were soaked in water from the Holy Wells of Glastonbury, receiving the prayers, memory, and medicine of this ancient land.

This drum is a ceremonial being, woven from place, time, devotion, and spirit.

Beater is crafted from Hazel wood, gathered on my summer journey to County Clare, imbued with the medicine of wisdom, inspiration, and poetic sight, with a plain chamois beater head, softly stuffed with local alpaca wool.

It holds the vibration of Avalon, Imbolc fire, lunar heart-light, Brigid’s sovereignty, and the quiet strength of Deer.

This drum has a woven handle in the form of Brigid’s Cross- an ancient symbol of protection, renewal, and sacred balance, traditionally woven at Imbolc to bless the home, guard the threshold, and welcome the returning light.
Woven in hide, the Cross honours the union of animal and goddess, earth and flame. It holds the protective field of Brigid while anchoring her teachings into the body: sovereignty held gently, strength carried with grace.
At Imbolc, Brigid stands at the doorway between winter and spring. This Cross-handle marks that same threshold — reminding the drummer that each beat is a choice to protect what is sacred and to tend the quiet fire that is beginning to stir.

When you first play this drum, you awaken its true voice. I never sound the drums before they leave me — this initiation belongs only to you.

I began this path over 20 years ago, after reading When the Women Were Drummers by Layne Redmond. My calling has always been to make drums that connect us back to the heartbeat of the Earth Mother, honouring the animals, trees, and elements in the most ethical way possible.

Shipping Policy

Each drum I birth is a sacred creation — a one-of-a-kind being infused with prayer, intention, and ceremony. Because of the deep care that goes into their making, I also take great care in their journey to you.

To ensure that every drum travels safely and arrives in good time, I now send a maximum of two drums per shipment. This allows me to track and tend to each parcel with the attention it deserves and to minimise any risk of loss or damage in transit.

If your order includes more than two drums, they will be lovingly packaged and sent in separate parcels, a few days apart. Additional postage costs will apply for each separate shipment, and I’ll always confirm these details with you before dispatch.

This approach helps each drum’s energy — and the practical delivery process — flow more smoothly, ensuring that your sacred instruments reach you with the care they deserve.
