13″ Deer Drum,  Birch Hoop,  Source Dragon,  World Drum

Deer walks gently yet with great power.
Its medicine includes- Grace and sensitivity, Deep listening, Balance between strength and softness, Gratitude, generosity, and sacrifice for the higher good, Connection to the woodland goddess and the unseen pathways.

Deer teaches us how to move through the world with an open heart and clear perception, how to touch wounded places with love rather than force, and how to choose alternative paths when the obvious road no longer serves.

Every drum I create is guided by intuition, oracle, and spirit. I invite in the natural elements, the ancestors of the land, and the celestial currents so each drum becomes a living bridge — a union of tree, animal, human, and cosmos.

Description

This drum was birthed under the Preseli Mountains, close to the ancient bluestone quarry from which the stones of Stonehenge were taken. This land holds memory—of ceremony, migration, star knowledge, and stone wisdom.
Hide is Welsh Deer
The Hoop is Birch -tree of beginnings, renewal, and purification
The Handle is Celtic Cross style, anchoring the drum as both compass and altar
Tied to the drum is a Medicine Pouch holding-
Natural quartz gathered from the local hills – for clarity, amplification, truth
Three bay leaves for protection and purification
The umbilical knot of the drum—holding the memory of its birth

The drum beater is made from hazel wood collected from my summer trip to County Clare – symbolising wisdom, inspiration, and poetic sight. It has a plain chamois beater head, softly stuffed with local wool
And small jar of saining herbs: cedar, mugwort, sage, and juniper berries for purification and blessing

Birthed at the Capricorn New Moon- birthed beneath the first New Moon of the year in Capricorn, a moon that closes a great cycle so that a truer path may emerge.
This New Moon carried the signature of deep planetary realignment- a threshold moment where old structures fall away, and a new energetic architecture quietly takes root beneath the surface. Capricorn asks for clarity, maturity, responsibility, and devotion to what truly matters.
This is the work of winter. This is the wisdom of the bones.
The medicine of this lunation asks:
What is essential? What is ready to be released? What truth can only be seen when we sit still in the dark?
This drums carry these questions—and the steady beat to answer it.

Calon y Ddaear

Pronounced: KAH-lon uh THIGH-ar

Means The Heart of the Earth

Why this name?

Calon = heart, inner truth, core essence

Ddaear = the Earth (soft mutation, ceremonial form)

This name speaks to the drum as a still-point, a heartbeat beneath the world. It holds the wisdom of Saturn, the bones of the land, and the quiet authority of one who stands tall in responsibility without force.

This is the drum that remembers: The ancient agreements between humans and land

The responsibility of guardianship

The power of presence over action

A drum for those who lead not by dominance—but by steadiness and integrity.

This drum holds the still-point.

Spirit Animal for the drum is the Source Dragon –
Be still. Magic can happen when you are fully present.

This drum invites deep grounding into Source itself—into the place where movement arises from stillness. It supports those who are clarifying their role in the wider web of life, asking how their gifts may serve the whole.

Drums message…
“This is your chance to make a contribution to the world. Embrace your responsibilities. Stand tall. Hold the power to make a difference for future generations.”

This is a drum for-

Anchoring purpose

Holding responsibility with grace

Walking a path of integrity and service

Bringing spiritual insight into tangible action

Every drum I create is guided by intuition, oracle, and spirit. I invite in the natural elements, the ancestors of the land, and the celestial currents so each drum becomes a living bridge — a union of tree, animal, human, and cosmos.

When you first play this drum, you awaken its true voice. I never sound the drums before they leave me — this initiation belongs only to you.

I began this path over 20 years ago, after reading When the Women Were Drummers by Layne Redmond. My calling has always been to make drums that connect us back to the heartbeat of the Earth Mother, honouring the animals, trees, and elements in the most ethical way possible.

Each of my drums is personally signed by me in golden ink. Gold is the metal of the sun, of incorruptible truth and eternal light, and my signature is offered as a final blessing — a witness that this drum was birthed with intention, prayer, and care. In this way, the signing becomes a quiet rite of completion, affirming the drum’s passage from my hands into its own life of service, song, and remembrance.

Shipping Policy

Each drum I birth is a sacred creation — a one-of-a-kind being infused with prayer, intention, and ceremony. Because of the deep care that goes into their making, I also take great care in their journey to you.

To ensure that every drum travels safely and arrives in good time, I now send a maximum of two drums per shipment. This allows me to track and tend to each parcel with the attention it deserves and to minimise any risk of loss or damage in transit.

If your order includes more than two drums, they will be lovingly packaged and sent in separate parcels, a few days apart. Additional postage costs will apply for each separate shipment, and I’ll always confirm these details with you before dispatch.

This approach helps each drum’s energy — and the practical delivery process — flow more smoothly, ensuring that your sacred instruments reach you with the care they deserve.

Thank you for your understanding and support in helping me honour the spirit of this work and ensure each drum’s safe passage to its new guardian.
