Sor’Ruba Ma’Elin- “Truth held in the womb of the heart”

 Magdalene Red Egg Serpent-Dragon Drum

Birthed over the Sacred Portal of the 12 Nights of midwinter, this drum was born from the meeting of Mary Magdalene, the Dragon current, and the mystery of the Red Egg.

Egg-shaped and womb-held, it carries the frequency of becoming.

The hide is red deer, dyed to echo blood, earth, and resurrection fire, and painted with a small gold serpent: the dragon in its quiet form, the wisdom that sheds skin.

This is a Magdalene drum —  drum of initiation, devotion, and embodied truth.

She is dyed in tones of deep crimson — the colour of blood, devotion, and creation itself.

Red drums are known as “Beauty Drums”—created for those who walk the path of joy, love, and sacred beauty.

A small medicine pouch rests with the drum—holding- Three bay leaves — purification, clarity, prophetic sight, Citrine crystal — solar truth, courage, and life force,  A Mini rosary —made by me,  devotion beyond doctrine, prayer reclaimed, The drum’s umbilical knot — sealing spirit into body.

This drum was created with the intention of healing—a vessel for heightened intuition and spiritual insight. It carries the lineage of Isis, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Yeshua, weaving heart and soul together in co-creation with the Divine.

Includes my Magdalene online course and a print out of the information here and additional story of Mary Magdalene and the Red Egg.

All drums come with drum care info and drum connection journeys.

Description

The drum is dyed red deer- through 4 dye baths of natural dyes, Deer medicine brings gentleness, listening, grace, peace, and unconditional love. Deer teaches us the strength of sensitivity and the gift of guiding others with compassion. Held and sounded through its Cedar oval hoop, a sacred wood long associated with longevity, protection, and preservation. Cedar has been used across cultures to cleanse, heal, and guard sacred space, and to summon benevolent spirits during ritual and invocation. Many traditions teach that Cedar holds ancestral presence, bestowed at the beginning of existence, making it a bridge between worlds and generations. Cedar is also a tree of focus and illumination, helping the keeper remain steady, clear, and rooted while working in subtle realms. It has long been planted to protect sacred groves and holy ground, and in this drum it serves as a guardian—preserving the drum’s voice and the integrity of the work it is used for.

Painted upon the red hide is the golden Snake, bearer of ancient and sacred power. Snake medicine speaks of secrets, fertility, rain, healing, and rebirth. As a creature that moves effortlessly between life and death, and sheds its entire skin only to re-emerge whole, Snake teaches renewal without loss of essence. Across many Indigenous traditions, snakes are revered as sacred beings—sometimes associated with lightning, speed, and formidable strength, always respected for their potency. Snake medicine supports graceful movement through transformation, helping the keeper navigate even the most intense initiations with instinct, resilience, and embodied wisdom.

Coiled within both Cedar and Snake is the presence of the Dragon as primordial strength and living magic. Dragon energy brings balance, courage, fortitude, and restoration, and invites the keeper to see the world through the lens of mystery and wonder. Dragon is a master of Earth, Air, and Fire, an ally that awakens psychic perception and deep inner knowing. When Dragon walks with you, it does not dominate—it reminds you of the power already held within your bones. Its presence calls you inward, to meet the ancient dragon that sleeps within the soul, and to live from that place of integrated strength and reverence for life.

Together, Cedar, Snake, and Dragon form a triad of protection, transformation, and awakened vitality. They make this drum not only an instrument, but a living companion—one that cleanses, guards, reveals, and empowers through sound, presence, and devotion.

Laced with 36 holes — encoding the number 9 through the drums sacred structure- in numerology, the number 9 symbolises completion, universal love, humanitarianism, and wisdom, representing the end of a cycle and a focus on serving humanity, with strong ties to Mars, bringing ambition and compassion but also potential aggression; individuals influenced by 9 are often spiritual, selfless, artistic, and driven to help others, completing major life stages.

This drum is a Resurrection drum- for…
Magdalene devotion and priestess work
Heart-led ritual, prayer, and truth-speaking
Womb, rebirth, and threshold ceremonies
Those who carry fire gently and faithfully.

Anointed with Holy Anointing oil, I sealed this drum in remembrance.
As Mary of Magdala anointed what the world did not yet understand, so I anointed this skin… for recognition.
“Oil of devotion, oil of priesthood, oil of love enter the hide, the lacing, the knot, the heart of this drum.
May this anointing awaken what has always been holy, consecrate the voice that rises from within,
and mark this drum as one that carries truth through tenderness, fire through love, and resurrection through embodied devotion.”

When I birth drums, I call in the natural elements of the land, the stars, and the moon. Guided by intuition, oracle cards, and the whispers of my spirit guides, each drum becomes a bridge between Earth and Sky, carrying the blessings of Father Sun, Grandmother Moon, and our wild Mother Earth.
Mary Magdalene moves through this drum as the rhythm of the heart—awakening deep dreams, clearing stagnant energies, and sending the heartbeat of the Earth outward into the cosmos, resonant with Gaia herself. The beat becomes a prayer, an offering, and a rhythm that makes space for your deepest wishes to take root.

Every element woven into this drum has been chosen with care and devotion. The hides I use are ethically sourced within the UK,  and by working with them, we honour their life force rather than allow it to be discarded.
I have been birthing drums for over 20 years, inspired by the ancient memory of women drummers and Layne Redmond’s When the Women Were Drummers. Each drum is a return to the primordial heartbeat—the rhythm of creation, the pulse of our Mother Earth.

Shipping Policy

Each drum I birth is a sacred creation — a one-of-a-kind being infused with prayer, intention, and ceremony. Because of the deep care that goes into their making, I also take great care in their journey to you.

To ensure that every drum travels safely and arrives in good time, I now send a maximum of two drums per shipment. This allows me to track and tend to each parcel with the attention it deserves and to minimise any risk of loss or damage in transit.

If your order includes more than two drums, they will be lovingly packaged and sent in separate parcels, a few days apart. Additional postage costs will apply for each separate shipment, and I’ll always confirm these details with you before dispatch.

This approach helps each drum’s energy — and the practical delivery process — flow more smoothly, ensuring that your sacred instruments reach you with the care they deserve.

Thank you for your understanding and support in helping me honour the spirit of this work and ensure each drum’s safe passage to its new guardian.
