This 18-inch Horse & Oak Medicine Drum carries a deep, resonant voice — a drum that speaks from the belly of the earth and the quiet spaces beneath thought.
It was crafted with prayer and ceremony, shaped by the energies of reflection, release, and transformation.
The horse hide was soaked beneath the Gemini Super Moon, a lunation known for drawing us into the mind — questioning, reviewing, circling familiar thoughts. Yet this is where the magic lies. When we listen closely, the inner voice reveals exactly what we’ve been allowing, what has been quietly building, and what is ready to be released as we move toward the Solstice and the closing of the traditional year.
This drum carries Gemini medicine in an embodied way…..The hide was so thick and powerful that the drum had to be made twice — unmade and retightened — a living reflection of Gemini’s dual nature. It is, in many ways, two drums in one: one that asks the questions, and one that answers from the deeper knowing beyond the mind.
Its second making took place as Mercury sextiled Pluto, a potent astrological moment symbolising the resurfacing of old programming, deep truth-retrieval, and the conscious clearing of beliefs that no longer support where we are going. This drum asks for attention, honesty, and choice — it is an ally for shadow work, re-patterning, and soul-aligned decision-making.
Horse hide is becoming increasingly rare and difficult to source for drum making, which makes this drum all the more precious. The scarcity of this sacred hide reflects not only its value but also the care and reverence with which it has been crafted. Horse brings both physical power and unearthly freedom.
In shamanic traditions worldwide, Horse enables flight between worlds, carrying prayers, healing, and vision across thresholds. Horse teaches true authority — the kind rooted in compassion, remembrance, and walking your path with integrity. With Horse as ally, this drum becomes a messenger between realms, returning insight and strength to the body and heart.
The oak frame anchors the drum in steadiness, protection, and truth. Sacred to the Dagda and revered across cultures, Oak offers resilience, courage, and the reminder that strength and kindness can coexist. Oak holds the deep tone of this drum, grounding its voice so that transformation is integrated rather than overwhelming.
This drum is decorated in shamanic style, with hanging plaits of fur, leather, and fabric that move with the rhythm of the beat. Both the plaits and the beater feature recycled bobcat fur, calling in Bobcat medicine.
Bobcat is the keeper of silence and hidden wisdom. It teaches solitude, independence, and the power of quiet observation. Bobcat medicine invites you to trust intuition over intellect, see beyond the obvious, and navigate challenges with discretion and grace. It often appears when it is time to explore the subconscious, reclaim inner strength, and move unseen yet assured.
It has a medicine pouch- a small bundle of remembering- including a stone from the Preseli Mountains, a bay leaf for protection, mugwort for dreaming and second sight,
and the “umbilical” knot of the drum.
This drum is a threshold keeper — a companion for those ready to listen beneath the noise, release old mental patterns, and step forward with grounded clarity.

Shipping Policy
Each drum I birth is a sacred creation — a one-of-a-kind being infused with prayer, intention, and ceremony. Because of the deep care that goes into their making, I also take great care in their journey to you.
To ensure that every drum travels safely and arrives in good time, I now send a maximum of two drums per shipment. This allows me to track and tend to each parcel with the attention it deserves and to minimise any risk of loss or damage in transit.
If your order includes more than two drums, they will be lovingly packaged and sent in separate parcels, a few days apart. Additional postage costs will apply for each separate shipment, and I’ll always confirm these details with you before dispatch.
This approach helps each drum’s energy — and the practical delivery process — flow more smoothly, ensuring that your sacred instruments reach you with the care they deserve.

Every drum I create is a one-of-a-kind sacred instrument, birthed through ritual and made with natural materials that respond to their environment and the energy of their guardian.
To honour the integrity of this work, the following policy applies to all drum sales:
Returns & Refunds

I am happy to accept returns within 7 days of receipt if you are not satisfied with your drum.

The drum must be returned in its original condition, carefully packaged to prevent damage in transit.

Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.

Once the drum is received and inspected, a refund will be issued minus original shipping costs.
After 7 Days
Due to the nature of these handcrafted instruments, I do not offer refunds or exchanges after 7 days, unless the drum is found to be structurally faulty upon arrival.
Repairs
Natural hide drums are sensitive to moisture, temperature, and handling. For this reason, I cannot offer guaranteesbeyond the initial period, as I have no way of knowing how the drum has been stored or used.
If your drum becomes damaged or loses tone after some time, I do offer a paid repair service on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me with photos and details, and I’ll be happy to assess and advise.
