Healing is not a straight line. It is a spiral path, a sacred unfolding—a return to wholeness that touches not just the body, but the heart, the soul, and the story we tell ourselves about who we are.
Over the years, in my own walk with illness and in holding space for others, I’ve come to understand that healing often moves through four distinct yet interwoven stages. These stages aren’t rigid steps—they are living energies, thresholds we pass through again and again as we deepen into our truth.
Let me walk you through them.

1. Awakening to Illness: The First Whisper
This is the moment something feels off. Perhaps it begins with fatigue, pain, or an inner knowing that something is calling for attention. At this stage, you may not have a name for it, but your body, your spirit—something—is asking you to listen.
This is the sacred invitation: to begin paying attention.
It takes courage to admit that something isn’t right. It’s a moment of awakening, where your body becomes your messenger, and healing begins with honesty.
2. Diagnosis: The Search for Certainty
This stage can feel like a storm. The mind wants answers, a plan, a cure. We move through tests, scans, second opinions—hoping that once we name the illness, we can tame it.
But here’s the truth: a diagnosis can bring clarity, yet it also reveals the limits of control. There are no guarantees. No map that tells you exactly how or when healing will unfold.
This is the crossroads between fear and trust.
In this space, we are asked to sit in the unknown. To hold the tension of wanting answers—and allowing mystery.
3. Surrender & Revelation: The Sacred Threshold
Eventually, something within us softens. We stop fighting. We lay down the need to control every outcome. And in that surrender, a deeper kind of healing begins.
We start to receive.
Memories surface. Emotions rise. Insights come. Sometimes we are shown the root of the illness—not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, ancestrally. We see with new eyes. The illness becomes a teacher, a mirror, a guide.
This is the holy place of transformation.
Here, we don’t just treat symptoms—we begin to shift our story, our energy, our relationship to life itself.
4. Integration: The Embodiment of Healing
Insight is a gift—but real healing lives in what we do with it.
This stage is about weaving the wisdom we’ve received into everyday life. We begin to choose differently. We change how we nourish ourselves—physically, emotionally, spiritually. We create boundaries. We deepen relationships. We follow the whispers of the soul.
Healing becomes not just something we seek, but something we live.
And so we walk forward—not always cured, but changed. Empowered. Reconnected.
Healing is not always about fixing.
Sometimes it is about remembering who we are beneath the layers.
Sometimes it is about reclaiming joy, presence, sovereignty.
And sometimes, healing is choosing life—fully—even in the midst of uncertainty.
If you are somewhere along this spiral path, I see you. I honour your courage. And I offer my presence if you wish to be witnessed, supported, or simply reminded that you are not alone.
